Dear Ava,
This time much much later than usual, but alas here is your 8 month update!!
On June 5 you decided it was time to crawl. You crawled a couple feet, but then you'd sit down where you were. You weren't so sure about how far to go....that or you'd just get distracted. You'd always look back just to make sure we were looking though. On the 7th you started crawling EVERYWHERE. That same day you pulled yourself to a standing position. Ummm what?! You aren't supposed to hit 2 milestones in one day little nugget! :) We're so proud of your accomplishments though.
Here you go!!! Action photos!
"Mommy's got much bigger feet than me!"
Eating at Cazadors. You only wanted to play with the menu and when the waiter came over you opened it up and looked right at him. It was hilarious.
Going on a walk with mommy. We did that a lot until it was about 98 degrees EVERY DAY.
There you go standing again.
And again the next day.
Oh...and again.... :)
The first week of June you also started using the pincer grasp a lot to pick up toys. By the end of the month you were feeding yourself finger foods! You're so cute when you eat puffs, cheddar crunchies, and cheerios. Now that you have it down you try to put like 5 in your mouth at once! Needless to say about half fall on the floor then or we find them in your high chair when we pull you out.
Remember that whole standing and crawling thing we talked about earlier? Ya, well you learned to put them together. You crawled up a stair on June 19th! Good thing we were watching! I think it's time for a gate at the bottom of the stairs now too!
Near the end of June we went to Templeton, IA for your Great Grandpa Wayne's 80th birthday celebration! We took to your first ever distillery (Templeton Rye Distillery). It was actually mommy's first time here too. Not sure about daddy though.
Sweetheart, you have changed so much. I know I tell you that all the time, but months 7-9 were the start of something totally new....mobility. You have started turning into such a pretty little girl and it's hard to think you were ever just 8 pounds at birth. Mommy and daddy love you very much and I can't wait to type up the next blog post because you've learned even more! Every week it's a new thing and we love celebrating those accomplishments with you. :)
