Well people, I did it again. I waited forever to post on here because I've been busy. Not only do I have a 9 week old to take care of, but I was on a nice vacation back home to Iowa. It was fabulous too!
So here's Ava's 8 week update! This is what she's been up to.
First off, I forgot to post that Ava started cooing around 4 weeks. If we talk to her for a while she begins to respond and it is quite possibly the cutest thing ever. Each day she's gotten more and more vocal. She's got a lot to say now that she's 9 weeks old!
She started gurgling at 6 weeks.
She started bearing some weight on her legs around 6 1/2 weeks.
She went on her first road trip to Leander, TX to visit Auntie Jill and Uncle Jake. It was a blast. Hopefully Jill will post pictures because I am so behind on blog posts as it is!
While visiting Jill and Jake we went on a weekend trip to College Station, TX so Ava could meet Uncle Jarrett, Aunt Wendi, and cousin Addison.
We went to look at Chrismas lights with Jarrett, Addi, and Jill on Dec 11th. It was really fun to spend time with them, especially since I usually only get to see my Texas family once or twice a year.
She saw snow for the first time December 17th.
She was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church on December 19th. (that's my sister's birthday too in case you didn't know!)
She met Santa on December 19th as well. :) we had a private meeting and he autographed a couple things for her.
She had her first Christmas 12/25/2010! She got lots and lots of presents!
She also had her first real tears on Christmas Day...I'm not sure if I should post that, but I swear she had a great Christmas! She was just hungry because she woke up from a long nap and was getting her diaper changed while we made a bottle.
I'll post pictures later this week. We've were on a long holiday vacation so I've got lots to upload onto the computer!
Lastly, since I have been MIA I'm going to save MY 8 week update for another day this week. That gives me motivation to write more frequently. Let's hope I don't forget now!
