NY Resolutions

My New Year Resolutions:


1.  Save x amount of dollars towards a downpayment on a house/land. We have a number, but I'd rather not post that on here.


2.  Spend less on items we WANT and more on items we NEED.


3.  Eat out less (this would be a continuation of #2).


4.  Lose those last pounds of baby weight. I may fit into all my pre-pregnancy clothes (for the most part), but its not all that gorgeous underneath! I joined Weight Watchers again. I did it way back in the beginning of college. I didn't have much weight to lose then since I was already in the ideal healthy weight range, but after the baby I'm just above it so its time to get rid of all that excess! Weight Watchers Points Plus is A LOT different than the original plan so I've got some learning to do. I get more points each day and more weekly points, but everything that once was 1 or 2 points is now 3-4! The good news though....fruit is free! I love fruit!


5.  Meal plan! Since I'm getting serious about this financial stuff and Weight Watchers I've decided meal planning would be a great idea. This way we only have what we NEED in the house for eating. We started Sunday night with pasta in five cheese red sauce with asparagus as our vegetable. Monday night we had spinach and pear salads with poppyseed dressing followed by garlic and herb pork loin filet with seasoned red potatoes. On the menu tonight - spinach and fruit salads to start again (different fruit this time) followed by meatballs with homemade mashed potatoes and gravy. :)


6. Stop biting my nails! I got a manicure last week courtesy of my MIL and SIL. Having nice nails is motivation to keep it up! So far so good!


I think that's about it. I may have had one or two more, but I can't remember them right now.

  3. I'm going to be meal planning, too, so we should definitely all share our recipes! :) ...this can be the kick in the a$$ I need to start blogging again :)

  4. may i reccomend puking after every meal? it's a great way to shave a couple of un-wanted pounds.
