Pumpkins!!

I realize that now that I'm getting close to my due date its important to blog as often as I can so that when I go MIA you know its because I had our little pumpkin, Ava! Speaking of pumpkins, Andrew and I went to a pumpkin patch today in hopes of finding the perfect pumpkin for some newborn photos for Ava. I'll be honest, I also REALLY wanted to go through the 4 acre corn maze. Well, when we got there I was so excited. I saw in the distance those fun things you put your face in for photo ops as well as mini horses!!! The only problem...it was $8 a piece for us to go through all this! It didn't really seem worth it since we're adults and even though I act like a child there isn't THAT much for me to do. Anyway, they let us pick out a pumpkin without paying a fee which was great news. I think we found the perfect one. At first I kept thinking they'd all be too small, but then I realized that newborns ARE really small. If the pumpkin is the size of my uterus or bigger then the baby SHOULD fit! lol. We'd carve it out really well and then line it with a thin blanket before putting the baby in. Then we'd situate her so her head and arms are resting on the top and she's sound asleep. Don't forget we also bought that knitted pumpkin hat for her to wear! Hopefully it all turns out great! 


PS - let's make it known that I went on a really long walk yesterday with a new friend and it was awesome. I felt so great afterwards. Not only was it nice to go on the walk, but it was nice to have adult conversation! She has 2 adorable little boys too who made me laugh. They were so cute and polite. Its always nice to spend time with a mom who seems in control. I think its going to help a lot knowing she lives nearby once I have little Ava. She's very knowledgable in all things baby. :)


I guess that's all for today. I don't have too much else going on. I'm going to go for another walk shortly. I'm working on getting Ava to engage! Lots of walking, squats, sitting on the exercise ball. You name it.
