We Have Progress!

Woohoo! I went in for my appointment today and am very pleased to say that we have progress! I saw Dr. Marks because Dr. Chang is out of town this week. I really like Dr. Marks. He was chatty and friendly and explained things very well. I'd be perfectly content with either one delivering my baby! Always a good thing! So here's what I learned at my appointment today...

• My fundal height is 37cm. I'm 38 weeks and 4 days. Its measuring just about a week and a half behind, but this is no way a sign of when I'll go into labor. 
• Ava's heart rate was 136bpm. Nice and healthy!
• I'm 1 cm dilated all the way through. YIPPEE!
• I'm 30% effaced. Also good news.
• Head is "right there". I'm not sure if that means much, but I know that means its down and where its supposed to be and that's all the matters, right?!

That's about it! Now we just have to have Ava hold off until Andrew's test is done tomorrow! A 10-20-2010 baby would be kind of cool, but you know what they say..."It could be days or weeks still!"
